Warning: Otona-Sekai seems to be in trouble (updated)

(Update June 9th) – After a few uncertain months, Otona-Sekai now appears to be back to normal. They’re getting new stock in and their social media accounts are active. I still have no bloody idea what caused them to go silent for so long, but it seems fine to order from these guys again.

Original article below:

This isn’t something I’d usually write about (I just wanna turn rubber vaginas into romance novels all day, you know?) But I think I’d probably feel like an arse if others potentially get screwed over and I just sat around playing with myself.

So just over a week ago I received an email from someone asking if I knew what was happening with Japanese retailer Otona-Sekai (not to be confused with otonaJP), as their order hadn’t been updated in weeks. Honestly I hadn’t exactly been keeping an eye on ’em, but after checking out Otona-Sekai’s site it quickly became clear something funky’s going down over there. Like a New Funky Mode™, except bad.

Turns out Otona-Sekai haven’t gotten a single new product in stock since February, and even their pre-order page is still showing onaholes which launched weeks ago yet were never made available on the site. Their Twitter account also hasn’t been active since February 15. Meanwhile their Facebook page is oddly (sorta) active, but seems to just post about… old products being reduced in price?

I wanted to hold off on this until at least hearing back from Otona-Sekai, but they’ve yet to reply to my email and even a Facebook comment mysteriously vanished, so I dunno man. As someone who takes a thousand years to reply to an email myself I kind of understand delays, but I’m not a bloody business and the warning signs keep piling up. During that time I’ve since gotten word that a few people have had issues with recent orders.

Not to potentially burn bridges with a company I’ve previously enjoyed dealing with (I especially love that they used to stock such a vast amount of smell fetish goods), but for now I’d advise steering clear of Otona-Sekai. I just wouldn’t risk ordering from them at the moment.

Maybe they’re going through some management issues or whatever, but they’ve handled this like a handjob with sandpaper gloves.

  1. Yes, I used tp order from them quite a bit, but they thankfully refunded my last order after saying the product wasn’t in stock. That took ages though.

I hope they get over this. They were really good at sourcing jav dvds nobody else sold….

    • Yeah, for now they appear to be still running (either that or their Facebook page is just updated by a bot). Both myself and the team at Onahole Review are being ignored by Otona-Sekai’s staff, so I can’t say for certain what’s happening.

I’d recommend paying via PayPal if there’s something you wanna order from ’em, just in case something goes wrong.

  3. They are ignoring me for weeks now. Honestly I can believe I ordered from those cheating bastards. Had to open a Paypal dispute to get my money back. Stay away from them is what I recommend.

  4. How fucking low are they. Erasing their facebook. Now its back up. Leaving me and it seems other customers too without any info (and products we paid for) and pretending everything is normal. Not even a single word on their twitter, strange considering all the rumors there are. What a shitty business.

  5. I actually got the Puni Ana XD Hard edition back around august.

The one I received had some major defects so I got in-contact with them straight away, at first it took a few days to get a reply, the ended up taking just over a month before I got an actual result from them.

They offered to give me the money in vouchers for the product itself but I had to pay shipping.

Which concluded with my eventually spending another £50 on shipping fee’s (The second one wasn’t exactly perfect either but at least the tunnels are straight, connect to the exit hole and have actual texturing unlike the first one).

I just though I was unlucky with how long it took but maybe not?

  6. Does anyone have news of this website? They seem to be active again but that does not mean it’s safe to order.

    • Still no activity on twitter or Facebook, I won’t trust them on that front, best to stay clear for now.

  7. I placed an order on 05/19 and the packet shipped on 05/24, which slower than usual. I think they got trouble with their business for a while and finally get back to the business.

  8. Seems they are not taking their business really seriously. All these comments here, on twitter and on the onahole eu blog and they not even care. Seems to be a risk to order from them which I am not willing to take.

  9. Just saw the Update. Thank God. I ordered my first onahole (an Onahip at that) from them and the process was quick and superb. I was really sad to see both you and Onahole.eu post about it going down.

  10. To be honest, I forgot about this warning and ordered a few things from Otona Sekai 1,5 week ago. So far so good, I also ordered from Kanojo and everything goes at about the same pace so far – both packages left Japan yesterday. So I think Otona Sekai is good once again, I’ll update this when I’ll unbox the stuff from them. 😉

    • They’ve been back on track for a few months now, I’ve had a few things over the last couple of months, ordered at the start of the week and arrives by the end. That’s while using SAL for the other side of the world.

Also from what I know their owned by a non-adult parent company, can’t remember of the top of my head what it is though.

    • S’me again, got the package! Got it even faster than the one from Kanojo, because that one… got stuck in customs. So I guess two weeks of transport are not enough, gonna be another month with them. :3

  11. (Ordered from them few times in 2017)

I don’t get it. Why even bother with all these fuss over ‘ lack of twitter and facebook comments’ when they have their own phone line to call for. They understand English. No one called there?
